- Safer - Struts on the ground reduce risk of tripping The level of stability support required in a particular location depends upon many factors including how sheltered the location is, the weight of the filled planter, weight of hanging products.
- The Support System Planter weighs only 12oz (0.35kg) unfilled. The filled weight depends on the proportion chosen between gravel and soil. If the planter is filled with gravel up to 3" below the top and then soil/compost its filled weight will be about 23 lbs. (10.5kg). This weight is an important stabiliser.
- The Support System consists of a central tube inside the planter to which are then attached four powder-coated long aluminium struts each 14"(36cm) long with projecting spigots which fit into four short struts each 3 1/8" (18cm) long. In a sheltered situation only the 4 small struts need be used.
- The Support System can hold a pole up to 22.8mm diameter. Masking tape or similar,round smaller diameter poles will increase the tightness with which it is held.
